Plot summary
Fanny Price's poor mother sends her to live with the Bertrams, her wealthy relatives, at Mansfield Park. Most of the household treats her badly, but her cousin Edmund Bertram is kind to her. When she is eighteen, Fanny loves her cousin, who is training for the church. Then Mary Crawford and her brother Henry arrive; their worldly ways complicate her life.
