Plot summary
Abahachi is chief of the Apache, and Ranger is his blood brother. Ranger once saved Abahachi from a speeding train at an unguarded crossing. Abahachi wants to buy a saloon for his tribe and arranges a loan of Shoshone gold through Santa Maria, who calls himself a Wyoming real estate agent. The saloon is only a facade, and the gold is gone. The Shoshones want their money back, so Abahachi recalls a treasure hidden in Manitou's Shoe. His grandfather Grey Star left him a map to it, divided into four parts.

- Michael Herbig said he would have loved to shoot in America and searched South Africa, Australia and Morocco before landing on what he called the "holy ground of Sergio Leone", which he chose at once: "this is it, 100 percent".
- Pierre Brice, lead of the Karl May films, and his East German counterpart Gojko Mitić rejected the comedy for ridiculing and disparaging Native American culture; Brice still praised Herbig's directing.
