Plot summary

Rowing clubs from across Germany gather at a campground for a week of training before the final regatta. Tobi and Achim, the pride of their southern club, have been inseparable for years. The boys look forward to meeting the Berlin girls' team. Achim's girlfriend Sandra rows with them, and the two are growing serious. Tobi's feelings for Achim go deeper than friendship, and he cannot admit that even to himself. When the girls' team is replaced by Queerschlag, a gay youth crew from Berlin, the camp grows tense. Sandra's friend Anke shows an interest in Tobi, which unsettles him further. He also drifts apart from his friend Alex and the rest of the crew.
