Man About Dog (2004) on Netflix

Plot summary

Mo Chara narrates that dog racing matters greatly in Ireland, and he and his friends Scud Murphy and Cerebral Paulsy, from West Belfast, follow it closely. A corrupt bookmaker offers them a greyhound if they help him win a race by underhanded means. They do it, and their reward, a dog they call Boots, proves useless at racing. A second proposition follows, to spoil the bookmaker's chances in a bigger race, and this time they get Cerberus. In a test race Cerberus lies down in his box and will not move, costing the three money. The bookmaker then blames them for the £50,000 prize he lost through their sabotage and gives them a week to pay. They decide to head south.
