Plot summary
Charlie takes on as many screenplays as he can to cover his bills. Erin works as an actress in films and in theater productions, still looking for a break and for a sense of who she is. The two meet by chance on a film set and grow close, trading complaints about how romance tends to go for them. They agree on a pact: they will design the greatest love story they can think of. The plan is to write their dates down and act them out, packing in the clichés they grew up on and once hoped to live through. The staged evenings bring mishaps rather than the scenes they scripted.
