Plot summary
Pino Persichetti is a well-off engineer who lives in Pisa. Word comes that his father, who emigrated to Venezuela years ago, has died, and that his father's widow will travel to Pisa to meet the family. Pino's adolescent son Carletto is at the airport to meet her and finds Marianna, the young and attractive widow of his grandfather. Carletto is instantly taken with her, and his inexperience does not keep him out of the concealed competition that forms around Marianna, in which his father Pino and his older brother Giorgio, the eldest of the sons, are also interested in her.
