Plot summary
Eight gay men spend three holiday weekends of one summer at Gregory's house on a lake in Dutchess County, New York: Memorial Day, the Fourth of July and Labor Day. The house is shared with Bobby, Gregory's lover, a legal assistant in his twenties who is blind. Gregory, a Broadway choreographer approaching middle age, fears his creativity is fading. Each guest has some connection to his work. Arthur and Perry are business consultants and longtime partners. John Jeckyll, an Englishman, plays piano for dance classes. Buzz Hauser designs costumes and is devoted to musical theater. John brings his summer lover Ramon, and his twin brother James is also among the guests.
