Plot summary
Each recess, children in a kindergarten playground leave toys and belongings behind, and the lost-and-found box takes them in. Lou, a creature assembled from the unclaimed items, gathers what is left and puts it in the box, encouraging the owners to find it again when they return. Its name is spelled from letters that have fallen off the sign on the box. A school bully named JJ begins taking toys from the other children and hiding them away in his backpack. Angered by these thefts, Lou decides to take JJ's backpack once the playground empties and JJ is left alone.
