Plot summary
Theo Ross is an acclaimed record producer, a man the music business holds in high regard. Hannah, a shy songwriter, is his friend, and she is the one who learns that he has lapsed on the medication he is prescribed for schizophrenia. She wants him committed to a psychiatric hospital, and she rallies other friends to help her do it. Theo does not stay in one place, so the group chases him through Los Angeles and its music scene while he outruns his colorful delusions. The mental health care system they must work through proves inadequate.
