Lost River (2014) on Netflix

Plot summary

The neighborhood is emptying out, one demolished house at a time. Billy, raising her sons Bones and Franky on her own, is three months behind on the mortgage. She tells Dave, the mortgage banker, that she will not take a buyout; he says there is work for her but does not say what it is. Bones pulls copper piping from abandoned buildings to pay for car parts, keeping clear of Bully, who controls the copper trade in the area through threats and violence. Their neighbor Rat lives with her grandmother, who has not spoken since her husband died building the dam and who spends her days watching an old wedding film. Bones finds an overgrown road that runs down under the reservoir, and Rat tells him a town and a dinosaur park once stood there.
