Plot summary
Desperate for a story, Tyler becomes caught up in a case about several children who have suddenly vanished in his town. He is an independent journalist, and on his own he pieces together a series of cryptic messages that were hidden in plain sight in ordinary spots around the town. They point to a deadly ring that carries out kidnappings, murders, and the distribution of snuff films. Local homicide detectives are working to crack the same code, and they race against time. They want to reach the answer before the ring goes too far, and before Tyler does as well.
