Plot summary
In the late 1940s, Raymond Fernandez uses personal ads to defraud women, describing himself in them as a sexy Latin Lover. His introduction to Martha Beck was as a prospective mark. She becomes his partner, posing as his sister. They travel the country, taking the savings of widows and spinsters who replied to the ads and also killing them. Homicide detectives Elmer Robinson and Charles Hilderbrandt track the pair.
