Plot summary
A secret truce between Oklahoma's governor and a Mexican drug cartel rests on one man: Doc Alexander, a former Special Forces operative who now works as a fixer. The governor, Richard Jeffs, is an old colleague of Doc's, and the cartel's leader, Lalo Prado, helped get Jeffs elected. Jeffs turns to tough-on-cartel crime policies, and a police raid ends with the death of Lalo's brother Juan, which the governor celebrates on television. Lalo vows revenge and sends Cuco, his half-brother, after Jeffs. Cuco takes Doc's daughter Nell and orders Doc to kill Jeffs and bring him the head in exchange for the girl.
