Plot summary
Rachel Hamilton is a young executive in New York who takes a work call right before she walks down the aisle. She hangs up and tucks the phone into her bouquet, and when it falls out during the ceremony, the groom calls off the wedding. Harry, her father, is in the room and watches it happen; Rachel has not seen him since she was five. Back at the office the next day she fails to settle into work and is sent home. She drinks alone until Harry catches up with her, and the two spend the night in a bar. There they decide, drunk, to take the Caribbean honeymoon cruise she had already booked, a plan that looks less amusing once they are at sea.
