Plot summary
Sadie Jones and Ben Murphy are engaged and in love. Ben suggests a wedding in the Caribbean, but Sadie has always wanted the ceremony at St. Augustine's, her family church. The next open date there is two years off, unless the couple takes a cancellation three weeks away. Reverend Frank will only perform the wedding if they pass his prenuptial course, compressed from three months into three weeks. His classes and homework assignments are meant to test whether their relationship can last. The couple must write their own vows and care for twin robot babies, and they must keep to his rule of chastity, which he enforces with a listening device planted in their apartment. The course also stirs up friction between Ben and Sadie's family.
