Plot summary
In Gotham City, Batman fights Man-Bat at a museum and is ambushed by Penguin. Superman arrives to invite him into a new team of superheroes, the Justice League, but Batman says he works alone. Superman stays to help against Man-Bat, Penguin, his Robo-Penguins, and the Joker. After Batman defeats them, Superman flies out and disappears, and the villains and a gem vanish with him. Batman calls the Flash, and the two travel the world until they find Captain Cold at an obelisk in Egypt. Batman is frozen without his utility belt while the Flash vanishes. He thaws and beats Cold, and the Atlantean symbols on the obelisk send him to make another call.
