Plot summary
Beth is bored with the private lap dances that pay her bills in Florida. Her father, Jerry, who does not know how she earns her money, tells her to follow her dream, and she moves to Las Vegas hoping to find work as a cocktail waitress. A woman at her motel, Holly, introduces her to Dink Heimowitz, a professional gambler who runs a sports betting operation called Dink, Inc. and lays large bets on fast-moving odds. Beth takes to the work quickly, grasping Dink's system well enough to become his protégée. Dink's wife, Tulip, sharp-tongued and used to spending his money, makes it clear she wants Beth gone.
