Plot summary
Ambrose McKinley is a blind Vietnam War veteran who insists on living on his own. He and his seeing eye dog, Shadow, move into a duplex in a retirement community next to a forest. His son Will has a strained relationship with him, worsened by his wife's death. Neighbors Gloria, Anne and Emma take against his brusque manner. Delores lives in the other half of his duplex. One night a creature breaks into her kitchen and mauls her; Shadow defends Ambrose and is badly wounded. The police call it an animal attack.

- The hardest part of the shoot was the werewolf transformation scene: director Adrián García Bogliano said not even the producers knew whether it would work until it was finally finished.
- Nick Damici, who plays blind veteran Ambrose McKinley, said he could not just blindfold himself to learn the role, since a blindfolded person still sees more than a blind person does; he performed by looking peripherally.
