Labyrinth of Lies (2014) on Netflix

Plot summary

Thirteen years after the war, West Germany is booming, and few people ask what became of the men who ran the camps. The journalist Thomas Gnielka brings word that an artist has recognized a local schoolteacher, Charles Schulz, as a former guard at Auschwitz. Johann Radmann, a young public prosecutor in Frankfurt, takes up the case. His superior, Fritz Bauer, the prosecutor-general, assigns him the investigation of all who worked at the camp, and the U.S. occupation authorities open their files to him. In the records he finds that some 8,000 people were employed there, and that teachers, doctors and civil servants across the country have returned to ordinary lives.
