Plot summary

Thirty-four-year-old Kristin is cynical and estranged from her family, spending Christmas Eve on her own. A mysterious champagne sends her seventeen years back, and she wakes on Christmas morning in the middle of the worst Christmas of her life. Her seventeen-year-old self is there too, a girl already at odds with her mother, Barbara. Kristin takes on the role of an older mentor to the younger Kristin and looks for a way to change what went wrong that year. The gap between her younger self and Barbara stands in the way, and her own present-day relationships are what she hopes to mend.
