Plot summary
Jerry Morgan is a ventriloquist with two dummies, Clarence and Terrence. Whenever one of his romances moves toward marriage, Clarence turns mean and jealous and the relationship fails. His manager, Marty Brown, threatens to quit unless Jerry agrees to see a psychiatrist, Ilse Nordstrom, who tries to find the source of the trouble. Meanwhile the dollmaker Papinek belongs to a spy ring that has stolen the plans for the Lafayette airplane. Because Jerry leaves for Zurich that same night, Papinek hides the plans inside the heads of the dolls. A second spy ring follows Jerry to get its hands on his luggage.
