Plot summary
By 2008, the government has Jason Voorhees locked in the Crystal Lake Research Facility, and every attempt to kill him has failed. Rowan LaFontaine, who runs the site, proposes that he be frozen. Dr. Wimmer and Sergeant Marcus bring soldiers from the Scranton Facility, wanting to study how his body recovers from lethal wounds. Jason breaks free, and Rowan gets him into a cryogenic pod. Centuries afterward, Earth is too polluted to support life and people have moved to Earth II. A field trip to the old planet explores the abandoned facility, where Professor Brandon Lowe, an android named KM-14 and a group of students find two bodies in the ice. They take them aboard their ship, the Grendel, revive Rowan, and leave Jason in the morgue, believing he is dead.
