Plot summary
Irving Zisman, 86, is celebrating the death of his wife, Ellie, when his daughter Kimmie, who is headed back to jail for violating her parole, leaves her eight-year-old son Billy with him. Kimmie wants the boy delivered to his father, and a video call with Chuck sets the destination and the deadline: Raleigh, North Carolina, by two o'clock on Sunday. To raise money, Irving sells Ellie's belongings, and two men help him put her corpse in the trunk of his car. When Billy gets hungry, Irving pulls into a market, flirts with a woman, and a ride springs off its base. He tries mailing the boy to North Carolina from a post office, unsuccessfully, and then takes him to bingo.
