Plot summary
Pierre Peders works as a political correspondent, and his editor orders him to profile Katya, a soap opera star, while a White House scandal is breaking. Katya is a paparazzi favorite, and Pierre has little respect for the assignment. He would rather cover the scandal, and he meets Katya at a Manhattan restaurant already disliking her. The interview turns into a disaster for both of them. After Pierre is injured, he ends up at Katya's loft. There the two drink, cocaine is used, and a minor fight breaks out. Each tries to gain the upper hand over the other, and the conversation becomes a contest over what they will reveal about themselves.
