Plot summary
Hazen Kaine works as a contract killer in Sofia, Bulgaria, and wants out of the business. He agrees to one final job: abducting the two daughters of the royal billionaire Andon Dupont. He carries out the kidnapping and locks the girls in a connex box, then notices a necklace charm on one of them that matches a tattoo he carries. When he takes it, a portal carries him to the Middle Ages and the forested Kingdom of Ehb, where a dragon is attacking a village. He fires his pistol at the creature. Two sisters, Arabella and Emeline, give him shelter and take him to their shaman, who tells him he was chosen to return and restore order to a kingdom in chaos. King Tervon has seized that kingdom, and Hazen must stand against him.
