Plot summary
Miles Montego has money, cars, a mansion and a past: he was a high-level drug trafficker and says he is now completely legitimate. The DEA keeps him and his former colleagues under watch, and his loyalty to friends who never left the business keeps him near it. At the house of Nick Halston, a former dealer, Miles meets Vanessa Leon, a churchgoing Christian who is nothing like the women he usually dates. They begin a relationship, and he tells her what he used to do. She accepts him and asks him to come to church with her, where Pastor Galley speaks about a person's past not deciding what God can do with him.

- Molina sought financing on his own for the project so that he could retain more creative control, and refused an offer from a major studio because they wanted to glamorize his drug-dealing days.
