Plot summary
Wesley Pennington, a would-be screenwriter, is late to his first day as a runner on Tonight They Come, a horror picture shooting on location in New Zealand. Directing it is SMP, who is already contending with a self-absorbed leading man, Adam Harrison, and an actress, Jessica Valentine. Wesley tries to fit in with the cast and crew and falls for Susan Ford, the set caterer. His first errand takes an actor to a doctor in a nearby village, which is in the middle of a real zombie outbreak; Wesley returns without noticing. On set, the zombie extras have begun behaving like the living dead they were hired to play.
