Plot summary
David Prowse worked as a bodybuilder before he played Darth Vader across three Star Wars films, hidden behind the mask; the voice was dubbed by another actor and the face revealed on screen belonged to someone else. He lives in Croydon, a London suburb, far from the recognition the part brought. A young filmmaker travels there to propose an idea: restage the unmasking scene, so that Prowse can show the role could have been his. Fans and fellow enthusiasts join the attempt to give him the recognition they believe he never had. The filmmakers also look into the long rift between Prowse and Lucasfilm.
