Plot summary
Gustavo Adolfo Bécquer is a Spanish poet of the romantic tradition. In 1864, in poor health, he leaves the capital for the monastery of Veruela, seeking quiet. There he gives himself to the landscape of the Moncayo, a mysterious mountain, and it opens a world of legends. Those legends concern witchcraft, and they meet in one small village below the mountain, Trasmoz, known as the Village of the Witches. Trasmoz is the only village in Spain officially cursed.
