Plot summary
A series of rescue missions into Iraq to free soldiers held since Desert Storm have all failed. Colonel Denton Walters suggests bringing in Topper Harley, a war hero who left the Navy and now lives in a Thai village. Walters and Michelle Huddleston of the CIA make the offer, and Topper refuses. When a mission led by Walters also fails, Topper agrees to lead a small team: Williams, Rabinowitz, and Harbinger. They parachute into Iraq near the guarded hostage camp, where their contact is Ramada, a former girlfriend with a boat ready.
