Plot summary
Rose Cooper is a San Antonio police officer whose intensity on the job has already gotten her into trouble. Captain Emmett gives her a chance to redeem herself: join U.S. Marshal Jackson to protect Felipe Riva, a cartel informant, and his wife Daniella, then take Daniella to Dallas to testify against the drug lord Vicente Cortez. At the Riva home, masked gunmen storm in and shoot Felipe and Jackson. Cooper finds Daniella hiding in a car and drives her away. When Daniella tries to walk off on her own, Cooper handcuffs herself to her, and the two women set out across Texas with killers in pursuit.
