Plot summary
Michael and three friends in Venice Beach have finished another school year with no luck with girls, and it bothers them that almost everyone else they know has had better. The four agree that each of them will help the others find a way to lose their virginity over the summer. Their attempts keep collapsing, undone by their own inexperience and poor planning. Michael, the most levelheaded of the group, wants something else. His longtime girlfriend has stalled him for six months, and he hopes to move their relationship further. Impatient, he ends things with her and goes looking elsewhere.
