Hola Frida! (2024) on Netflix

Plot summary

Frida Kahlo is a child in Mexico City, and she is different. Her home is Coyoacan, and everything there interests her. She passes her days in the market, makes a friend of a neighborhood street dog, and plays the clown for her classmates. When a polio diagnosis arrives, her spirits sink, and she is left in the solitude of her bedroom. In that room her imagination opens a world of color, flowers, and possibilities. That is the childhood of Frida Kahlo, the influential Mexican artist, and the film tells it in animation, made in Canada and France.
