Plot summary
Lourenço, a Brazilian immigrant living in the United States without documents, is heartbroken and adrift. He leaves his homophobic family and country behind for Provincetown, the queer mecca, as the summer season comes to an end. He searches for purpose there and meets Maurice, who also feels lost in America today. The romance that begins between them is intense and unexpected, and both men carry pasts they have left behind and futures that are uncertain.
