Plot summary
In Baltimore, nine people work through the signals that pass between men and women. Gigi takes each man she meets as a possible Mr. Right, and Alex, who runs a bar, tells her she is misreading the interest they show. Her co-worker Janine is absorbed in renovating her house while her husband, Ben, falls into conversation with Anna, a yoga teacher and singer, in a supermarket checkout line. Conor, a real estate agent and Alex's friend, wants more from Anna than she wants from him. Beth has spent seven years with Neil and wants to marry, while Neil says he will never marry. Mary sells advertising for a newspaper and looks for men online.
