Plot summary
In 1938, the Queen Mary crosses to New York, and a family of three slips into the ballroom so their young daughter can audition for Fred Astaire. In the present day, the liner is docked in Los Angeles and runs as a tourist attraction called The Queen Mary No Escape. Anne and Patrick Caulder come aboard to pitch a new idea for it, and their son Lukas has one of his own: a book they could write together. Lukas spots a small girl and follows her; he disappears and turns up soaking wet, his camera missing. The next day Lieutenant Gibson tells the couple the ship is closed, but that they may photograph anything except the area below deck M.
