Plot summary
Hunter, Rounder and Ashby, three divorced middle-aged friends, spent most of their adult lives on work and now rent a house on the Southern California coast. They mean to meet the young women who populate the beach, and they find that money, a good apartment and an expensive car do not impress anyone. Scotty Palmer is a young man the women gather around, and he has just been evicted from his apartment, three months behind in rent. The men offer him $600 a month and a room in their house if he will teach them how to approach women. Scotty accepts, though his girlfriend Kristi dislikes the men and the arrangement as much as he does.
