Plot summary
Bruce the Filmmaker made the punk documentary Hard Core Logo, whose success took him from Canada to the United States and steady work directing cable television. The work has dried up, and he is paying the rent with a reality show about Wiccans. While researching it he meets Care Failure, the singer of the punk band Die Mannequin, who believes that Joe Dick, the frontman of Hard Core Logo, speaks through her and writes the songs for her new album. Bruce goes to Saskatchewan, where Care Failure and Die Mannequin are recording that album under Bucky Haight, Joe Dick's former mentor and idol, to look into the claim.
