Biography
Charles Aitken is an English-born actor whose first professional work came as a child in Oliver! opposite Davy Jones. After a history degree at Duke University, he entered London's Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and graduated in 2004. His stage work included many productions, such as Speaking in Tongues, Ulysses and Richard III, and he soon played Claude in Hair at The Gate. In 2006, he gained critical praise for Paradise Lost and a stage Midnight Cowboy. He made his television debut in Bonkers, and his Iago in Othello earned an Ian Charleson Award nomination, leading to almost three years with the Royal Shakespeare Company, where he took leading parts in As You Like It and King Lear.
