Plot summary
A dog named Douglas supplies both the title and one of the stories in a second filmed stand-up set, about a stranger met in a dog park and the anatomical pouch that shares the name. The show opens by outlining its own chronology, which the comedian says is meant to manage expectations, and begins with ordinary observation, including jokes about American culture. It then takes up themes from an earlier special: misogyny, life as a lesbian woman and an autism diagnosis, often seen through the history of art. The naming of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, all taken from Italian Renaissance artists, also prompts a case for a different fourth name.
