Plot summary
Snow White has spent several years at a convent and comes home to the kingdom of Whitevale when her father the King dies. Prince Alexander of Northfalia arrives to pay his respects under a peace treaty between their kingdoms, and meets her. Her stepmother, Queen Gwendolyn, keeps elven stones that she uses to draw power from and consults a magic mirror, which tells her that Snow White's beauty has surpassed her own. Gwendolyn has her huntsman, Beasley, take the princess into the woods to bring back her heart. A dragon attacks them there, and Snow White, wounded, is saved by an elf named Runt, who brings her to his dwelling, where the leader of the elves, Orlando, wants her gone.
