Plot summary
A Japanese-born American student at a university in Japan, Maiko sets out on October 31 to help the spirit of her dead mother, and she is willing to risk her own life for it. Her destination is Aokigahara Forest, where her birth mother has recently killed herself. Kyle, Terry and Amber, her friends, go with her, planning to make a documentary for a class project, and the crew is American exchange students. The forest is known in Japan as the Suicide Forest. In the forest, something the group does releases an ancient curse, and angry spirits haunt the crew.
