Plot summary
A five-star restaurant owned by a friend of Henry Ross is the scene of suspicious sabotage that ends in a shocking murder. Henry is a culinary consultant and food industry insider in San Francisco. The case falls to San Francisco police detective Maggie Price, a single mother, and Henry is put on it with her, though she protests and would rather not have him along. The two of them have to decipher the clues as a team. That work means investigating all of San Francisco's top culinary professionals.
