Plot summary
Dev and Luca are best friends and recovering addicts in New York City. Dev keeps showing up at meetings where Regina, another person in recovery, talks about her ex-boyfriend, who once kicked her out of their home. Luca often comes with him. Regina's account changes over several meetings: at first she speaks about hoping her ex-boyfriend will recover, then she begins describing fantasies of killing him. Dev and Luca, both in love with Regina, decide they have to find her and stop her from acting on those words. Their search takes them through the city during the COVID-19 pandemic, across a single day, while they try to reach Regina before she makes a mistake.
