Plot summary
Shara is a fifteen-year-old living in Los Angeles. Her mother's boyfriend sexually abuses her, and she runs away from home with Jamie, her boyfriend, a street hustler. The two of them struggle to survive on the streets, but they fail. Shara finds herself homeless and alone, with no one to turn to. She believes she has only one option: selling her body. She starts working in a back-alley brothel run by Russians, where other underage girls also work. The brothel sits in the seedy underbelly of Hollywood, a world of sex trafficking. The work pulls her deeper into that trade and her life starts to come apart.
