Did you know?!Facts and trivia about Gallants (2010)
Can contain spoilers, watch the movie first.
- Gallants was first conceived as a story about a 1960s–70s musical group: one member has a stroke, realises he has done nothing important in his life, and wants one final show with his old friends. Finding a musicians' story hard to sell, the writers changed the plot to kung fu masters instead.
- For the cast, directors Clement Cheng and Derek Kwok felt that if they could not get the actors Chen Kuan-tai and Bruce Leung, they would not make the film at all.
