Plot summary
Gabriel has left his post at the University of Toronto to begin a new life with Julia. He is eager to become a father, but Julia's intensive program takes up her days, and the future he pictures for them is put at risk. She is then offered the chance to give an academic lecture at Oxford. Gabriel questions the subject she has chosen for the presentation, because it clashes with his own research.
