Plot summary
By April 1945 the Allies have entered Germany, where the Nazis force civilians into the military and American Shermans are outmatched by German Tiger tanks. Sergeant Don 'Wardaddy' Collier commands Fury, the only tank left in his platoon, with Boyd 'Bible' Swan, Grady Travis and Trini 'Gordo' Garcia. Norman Ellison, a typing clerk with eight weeks in the army and no tank training, joins the crew, and the veterans have no patience for him. A lieutenant leads the convoy to meet Baker Company and take a small town. Captain Waggoner asks Collier to take four tanks and rescue troops pinned in a field by Germans with anti-tank weapons, then rendezvous outside the town, and tells him he trusts his instincts.

- David Ayer required the Fury cast to undergo four months of preparation, including a week-long boot camp run by Navy SEALs; Brad Pitt said they were kept cold, wet and exhausted, made to eat cold food and do night watches from five in the morning.
- Ayer pushed the Fury cast to physically spar each other, leaving them with black eyes and bloody noses, and forced them to live together inside the tank for an extended period, eating, sleeping and defecating there.
- On October 15, 2013, a stuntman rehearsing on the Fury set in Pyrton was accidentally stabbed in the shoulder with a bayonet and flown by air ambulance to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford; police treated it as an accident.
- In November 2013 Fury caused controversy by shooting a scene on Remembrance Day in which extras wore Wehrmacht and Waffen-SS uniforms; director David Ayer and Sony apologized.
