Battle Ground (2013) on Netflix

Plot summary

In 1916, on the Western Front, a British assault on the German trenches collapses, and three soldiers are left behind in no man's land as night comes. Sgt. Maj. Arthur Wilkins, Pvt. O'Leary and Cpl. Richard Jennings are the survivors. One of them is seriously wounded and needs medical help quickly, and another knows that a heavy artillery bombardment is about to start, which would kill anyone still out there. The three set out to cross the mud back to the Allied lines, with German soldiers alert for another attack. Along the way they think and talk about England and the lives they left there.
