Plot summary
A Club Med village at Assinie, on the Ivory Coast, takes in a new group of holidaymakers who want to forget their everyday troubles. Bernard finds his wife Nathalie there; she has spent a week at the village before he arrives. Popeye, who runs the sports, greets the newcomers, and the animators Bobo and Bourseault lead the games and the outings. The village runs on beads that guests wear as necklaces and hand over for the organized activities. Bonds form quickly, since everyone wants a new connection. Bernard and Nathalie each decide to have an affair. The doctor Jérôme and Jean-Claude attempt to flirt, without success. Gigi takes up with Bourseault, and Christiane meets rejection.
